Wright a Federal Disaster Site

Laramie, Wy – President Bush has declared a major disaster for the town of Wright following the tornado that hit there August 12th. This declaration allows residents and local businesses to seek federal assistance for their recovery efforts.
The tornado ripped through town, killing two people and damaging or destroying 92 homes.
Many locals feared they wouldn't qualify for federal aid because of the town's small size. That's what happened three years ago in Kaycee, when a flood damaged or destroyed one-third of the town's homes and most of its businesses.
All three members of Wyoming's congressional delegation joined Governor Dave Freudenthal in asking for the disaster declaration.
