Wyoming Closely Watching Water Idea
Green River, Wy – Wyoming water officials are not getting too excited about the latest proposal by a Fort Collins developer to pump water from the Green River into Colorado's Front Range. The plan would build a pipeline along I-80 to move the water. It would be funded with private money. State Engineer Pat Tyrell oversees such matters for Wyoming and he says Colorado would be using water it is entitled to. Tyrell says he takes a wait and see approach on such things because the state hears of several such proposals each year.
