Cheyenne, Wy – Denver International Airport will be facing a backlog of two and a half days-worth of flights by the time it reopens. Officials plan to reopen the airport at noon on Friday. That will likely create problems for Denver flights through the weekend.
Great lakes Airlines makes flights to Denver from several Wyoming cities. CEO Chuck Howell says his airline is facing a backlog of customers. "Candidly, everyone should be looking at an option B, because even if we get you into Denver, probably it's going to be problematic whether the carrier that you're flying on out of Denver can get you to your ultimate destination. They're going to be facing the same thing."
Howell says if they can, travelers may want to delay flying out of Denver until the rush is over.
