Wyoming Homeland Security Funds Cut

Cheyenne, Wy – Governor Freudenthal says he expects
Wyoming to continue getting less homeland security funding.
But he isn't sure how much less funding can be expected.
The federal government is working on a risk-based system of
allocating homeland security funds. That's after lawmakers from
large states, like New York, complained that more sparsely
populated states like Wyoming received more funding per person.
Wyoming has already received 37 percent less federal homeland
security funding this year than last year.
