Laramie, Wy – Starting next month, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will start selling some limited quota hunting licenses online.
The coordinator of the electronic license program for the department says the agency created the system to meet increasing demand from hunters.
The coordinator says Game and Fish is seeing an increase in applications from nonresident hunters every year.
The department won't sell general hunting and fishing licenses, special permits or conservation stamps on line. That means that the new system won't cut into the profits of license agents.
Limited quota licenses for deer, antelope, elk, moose, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, bison and turkey will be available online.
Hunters will also be able to purchase preference points through the new system.
