Wyoming Leads Nation in Speed-Related Highway Deaths
Laramie, WY – Nationwide, speeding is a factor in about a third of all deaths from vehicle crashes. That's what the national highway traffic safety administration says in a newly released report on speed-related fatalities. Out of all 50 states, the report ranks Wyoming second only to South Carolina with the highest percentage of speeding-related fatalities. In Wyoming, speeding causes nearly half of all deaths on the state's roads and highways. Wyoming Public Radio's Kristin Espeland reports.
