Wyoming loses another QB

Laramie, Wyo. – The Wyoming football program continues to lose players at the key quarterback position.

Coach Dave Christensen announced on Friday that redshirt freshman quarterback Emory Miller Jr. will not return to the program in the fall for unspecified personal reasons.

Miller redshirted the 2010 season. A native of Mesquite, Texas, he was in competition with true freshman quarterback Brett Smith of Salem, Ore., throughout 2011 spring drills. Smith and Miller were listed as co-starters at the conclusion of spring practice.

Miller's departure comes in the wake of Austyn Carta-Samuels' surprised decision in January to leave after his junior season. Carta-Samuels was the Mountain West Conference freshman of the year in 2009.

True freshman quarterback Adam Pittser of Richmond, Ill., will join the team this fall.
