Wyoming Outdoor Council happy with Salazar

Laramie, Wy – While some environmental groups are upset that Colorado Senator Ken Salazar is slated to be the next Interior Secretary a Wyoming group has a different view. Wyoming Outdoor Council Director Laurie Milford says Salazar has a good grasp on western issues and touts his opposition to a controversial drilling site in a scenic area in Colorado called the Roan Plateau. "We hope that indicates that he would bring equal balance to Wyoming to protect equally special places like Adobe Town and Jack Morrow Hills.
Milford thinks Salazar will bring a common sense approach to the job. But other environmental groups say he is too much of a centrist. The Salazar selection is being supported by many energy industry officials.
