Bondurant, WY – Environmentalists are objecting to an oil and gas producer's plan to drill in the Wyoming Range of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Plains Exploration and Production Company holds leases south of Bondurant, where it wants to drill three exploratory wells. But an official with the Wilderness Society says with fast-paced development nearby in the Pinedale Anticline and Jonah Field, there shouldn't be drilling in the Wyoming Range. Peter Aengst cites a Forest Service decision one year ago to cancel a lease sale in the Wyoming Range. He says it was a bad idea then, and it's still a bad idea.
