Wyoming Scientist Working on Rocket Technology

Laramie, Wy – Osama Bin Laden may have to worry about a man from Wyoming. John Wickman is a scientist working on a new system for launching satellites and missiles for the Air Force. He says this system could get a guided missile to a target in less than half an hour. He says that would help the military with someone like Bin Laden, because right now planes can't get a missile up and to a target that quickly.
Wickman's company is based in Casper. He says his launch technology could also send satellites into orbit for much cheaper than the current cost. Wickman says another advantage this could create is that they will be able to launch satellites within 24 hours of receiving an order, whereas right now he says it takes more like six months.
