Wyoming Senators Join Immigration Caucus

Laramie, WY – Wyoming Republican Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso are taking part in a new caucus within the US Senate focused on increasing border security.

The group says it will also work on immigration enforcement in the interior United States and fight against any effort to provide citizenship for immigrants already in the country illegally.

Also in Washington, Barrasso announced that he's renewing an effort to pass legislation to discourage states from issuing driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. Its part of a broader Republican immigration reform proposal.

The bill would require states to verify that each driver's license applicant is in the country legally and would penalize noncompliant states by docking 10 percent of their federal transportation funds.
