Wyoming's inflation rises 7.9 percent

Laramie, Wy – Wyoming's inflation in the second quarter of the year rose seven point nine percent the highest increase since the early 1980's. Wyoming Senior Economist Justin Ballard says most things increased, but housing saw the greatest gains, especially in areas that are impacted by the energy boom.
Ballard says gas prices helped increase transportation costs by nearly 18 percent. Teton and Sublette counties remain as the most expensive places to live with Platte as the least expensive.
