Wyoming's Obesity Rate Low, But Increasing

Laramie, Wy – About one in five Wyoming residents is obese. That information comes from numbers released Tuesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
It's one of the lowest obesity rates in the country -- in fact, only eight states did better than Wyoming.
But it's also up about half-a-percentage-point from the last survey.
The states with the highest obesity rates were Mississippi, Alabama, West Virginia, Louisiana and Tennessee.
The states with lower rates than Wyoming were Colorado, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, Montana, Utah and New Hampshire.
