Yellowstone Opens for Winter

Yellowstone National Park, WY – The interior of Yellowstone National Park opens for the winter season this morning. Visitors to the park will be able to take commercial snowcoaches or snowmobile trips to destinations such as Old Faithful and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
The park's East Entrance road is closed temporarily because of the danger of avalanches.
Visitor centers at the park will be open at West Yellowstone, Old Faithful and Mammoth. There will be activities and evening programs available throughout the winter.
