Yellowstone River Basin Is In Good Shape

Laramie, Wy – While contaminants have been found in the Yellowstone River Basin, federal officials say they are nothing to be alarmed about. U-S Geological Survey scientists studied the basin for three years and found some things like radon, dissolved minerals, and bacteria in the water, but overall they are pleased. Hydrologist Dave Peterson says the basin is especially good when compared to other areas of the country.
Peterson adds there is some human impact, but most impacts come from natural sources.
