Wells Fargo has awarded a 100-thousand dollar grant to The Grand Teton National Park Foundation. A quarter of the money will be used for the park’s Youth Conservation Program. The other 75-thousand dollars will be used for restoration work around Jenny Lake.

Kim Mills is a spokeswoman for the foundation. She says Jenny Lake is the most popular destination in the park.

"So the trails out there have really been loved to death, and money from Wells Fargo as well as many other donors who are contributing to this project are really helping improve the conditions, so that many people can go into the back country and experience what we all love about Grand Teton National Park," she says.

Mills says the trail crews at Jenny Lake are improving trail tread, removing jagged rocks, making stairs, and realigning trails where erosion is severe. The project should be complete by summer 2018.
