Camp POSTCARD (Peace Officers Striving to Create and Reinforce Dreams) is a Volunteers of America Northern Rockies camp for 5th and 6th grade students to help them develop leadership and teamwork skills. It also aims to build positive relationships between youth and law enforcement and criminal justice professionals in the hope of reducing their risk of committing crimes and using tobacco, alcohol, and drugs.Hosted at the Allen H. Stewart Lions Camp on Casper Mountain, it marks its 20th anniversary in 2023.

The Visit Casper Marathon celebrated its 20th anniversary this year with runners participating in a 10K, half marathon, marathon, and marathon relay on June 4. A 5K run sponsored by the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center was held the day before, as was a .262-mile beer run sponsored by Gruner Brothers Brewing.

The Ford Wyoming Center will host the pinnacle of the college rodeo season June 11-17. Approximately 400 student-athletes are competing this year from colleges and universities from across the country.

The Wyo Sports Ranch will be a 130,000+-square-foot facility that will be able to host a variety of sports year-round, including basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and gymnastics. It's also set to include an athletic performance and training center and a space for community events. Around 70 percent of the funding for the $40 million building has been raised, with an opening date set for early 2025.

Twenty-two-year-old Lorna Roxanne Green appeared in court Friday morning. A grand jury charged her for setting Wellspring Health Access in Casper on fire last May. The attack delayed the clinic’s opening from June 2022 to April of this year.

This year's events include a 5K, 10K, marathon relay, half, and full marathon. Organizers have grown the event over the past two decades and seek to continue to do so in the coming years. Around 400 runners have since signed up from 39 states and two foreign countries.

Wyoming Public Radio’s Hugh Cook spoke with Tim Hagerty, a minor league baseball broadcaster who once called games in the state. Hagerty recently released a book of his stories and memories called "Tales from the Dugout: 1001 Humorous, Inspirational & Wild Anecdotes from Minor League Baseball."

The Mayor of Casper has apologized for an animation that he posted in response to a story about the Wellspring Health Clinic that provides abortions opening its doors. Many took his comment as invoking violence to a business that was torched last spring.
